I am deeply honored to serve as Master of Hart Lodge as we celebrate our 190th anniversary.  Thank you, brothers, for your trust and confidence in me. I hope to continue to build on the solid foundation laid by my 135 predecessors.
            The Installation was a day I’ll never forget.  Thanks to Brothers Joe Conway and Romuel Toon for such an impressive Installation Ceremony.  Thanks to my father, wife, daughter and granddaughters for your attendance.  I was so proud to see you there!  Special thanks to my dear friend and mentor Brother Jim Coker, and to Brother Rick Hisel, my cousin, for your attendance; what a heart-warming surprise!
            Congratulations are certainly in order to our junior Past Master John Bourne for his outstanding leadership.  Under his guidance Hart Lodge received the Grand Master’s Lodge of Excellence Award for the first time.  Thank you Brother John for the fine example you set.
            I look forward to serving with Elvina Cox, Worthy Matron of the Nicholasville Chapter #223 of the Eastern Star and with our Hart Assembly #61 Rainbow girls. 
            I am pleased and enthusiastic to serve with an outstanding group of officers.  We have already met and are in the process of laying out a very positive and ambitious agenda for this year of service to our community.
            I would like to invite you to attend our lodge, a lodge that is on the move.  We meet on the second and fourth Monday night.  We have a meal at 6:30 and meet at 7:30.  Hope to see you there.
